DDR4 memory happens in our PC in 2013

while DDR4 is expected in 2014-2015 Intel, the first memory module DDR4 SDRAM is already in production at Micron, Hynix and Samsung want to equip our computers at the end of 2013. The module consists of 8 Micron chips 4 Gb engraved in 30 nm, for a total of about 4 GB of RAM. Strips 16 and 32 chips (8 and 16GB) are under development.
The DDR4 promises a lot: transfers data between 2400 MT / s (million transfers per second) and 4266 MT / s, while the DDR3 varies depending on the model, between 1333 and 2133 MT / s. Side power consumption, DDR4 is up to 40% more energy efficient than DDR3-based module. This is enabled by a decrease in the voltage used, 1.6 V for DDR2 to 1.5V for DDR3 and DDR4 1.2V for.
Not worth rushing: the Jedec, the organization responsible for the specification of memory modules is finalizing the standard DDR4 SDRAM. In addition, DDR4 memory modules should be on sale from 2013 only and will not be compatible with current motherboards. A new way to boost the PC industry
